There are days when you don’t feel like you belong in your own body. You feel like everything is wrong and out of place. No matter how hard you try. No matter how much make up or fancy clothes, or how many compliments. Some days just don’t work.
But sometimes you get up from bed to go to the bathroom and you glance yourself in the mirror and you see it. You see all the curves that create the map of your body. All the scars, all the hairs and all the stretch marks. All the fat and all the muscle. You see it all and you love it all.
And you take a picture. You take a picture of a body part that you usually feel unsafe about. Of the stretch marks that you always try to conceal. You take a picture for yourself. So that the next time you hate your body, you remember.
